Last photo of July 2021

July was a strange month. I took three (bad sunset) photos on the 5th and then didn’t again until I reached Slovenia on the 18th. My camera said: enough is enough.

How are you, settled in well on my new blog? I have heard a few complaints and wish to help you:

  • If you view my photos in a gallery and after that try to comment but typing certain letters (I think one of them is “d”) keeps returning you into the gallery, refresh the page before you start your comment and you should be fine.
  • If it doesn’t let you follow my blog, go into Reader, search my blog by name and follow from there.
  • If you go to the main page, all my posts are lined up back to back with no clear barrier, and you need to click on a title to open and like an individual post.

I hope this covers it all. If you are bothered by anything else, please say. As before, this is a big screen blog but I hope it works satisfactorily on the phone too. I haven’t even checked it there yet.

As I’m still in Slovenia waiting for the second shot – and the quarter-final basketball game Slovenia : Germany which starts in an hour and a half at 3 am – I don’t have my usual time to view all your blogs. I miss you and will catch up.

And now to today’s subject and I’m grateful to Bushboy for the reminder. We are to post the last photo we took in July straight out of camera (well, reduced in size). It is the last photo I took in Piran on the coast before we left for Ljubljana. This one:

Since this month my photo is rather unremarkable (and I don’t cheat and switch it or edit it, except whiten out the car plate), I add three more photos of the same feline subject taken the day before. Bestia felt the presence of a big cat and approached with caution. It was right where I left it (ha!).

Here are the rules and they are simple:

1. Post the last photo on your SD card or last photo on your phone for the 31st July.
2. No editing – who cares if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like or the subject matter didn’t cooperate.
3. You don’t have to have any explanations, just the photo will do.
4. Create a Pingback to this post or link in the comments.
5. Tag “The Last Photo”.

A Slovenian in Italy for love. Blogger, photographer, translator and would-be writer who would be a writer if she wrote. Plus reluctant but emerging poet. Beware.

    1. Thank you, Bushboy. Peemail! Hihihi!! I’m doing more than OK, especially today that all of us, including amore, saw the most excellent quarter-finals win of Slovenia who are still undefeated. Sadly, Italy had to go home just now. Australia to play next… Let’s make a plan: you eliminate the USA in the semis and then we shall see. 😉

    1. Ooo, Greece! Must be hot! I hope there are no fires where you are. My friends are going tomorrow to Rodos and are worried. No pics at all in my today’s post for you? 😮 There should be a Jaguar in four photos. It must be because of the internet. Thanks, Bojana. Happy holidays!

      1. Oooo Crete!! I spent the best month in my life driving around the island with my Peugeot 504 one August many years ago. I especially loved the Samaria gorge, the Preveli beach, the Vai palm grove in the east, but there were many marvels. Matala too.

    1. Thank you, K. What can I say… We might meet in the finals. That would be a highly entertaining slaughter. The Italian sprinter, and the high jumper who also won gold on the same day, would almost pass unnoticed. Amore tries but is really not interesting in how Italy is doing. 😀

    1. Thank you, Sofia, I’m really glad you did and you’ll stick around. I hadn’t noticed before that comments weren’t enabled on pages (only on posts). I can’t seem to be able to change this, that’s why I’m adding a green Feedback button to my About me page where you and everybody else can say whatever you wish. 🙂 I hope you’ll test the button. I haven’t seen or used it on any blog yet.
