Friendly purple Friday

Since Sandy said “purple”, I shall sprinkle some purple rain on my two galleries. The first one includes the sky, a vegetable, flowers, a couple of walls and a drawing of a foot, and the second a surprising amount of purple attire. Curious?

Purple raaain, purple raaaain sounds in my head, as I remember my online 50th birthday party from May last year, when mom sang to Norm from Canada “Thursday Dooors, Thursday Doooors” to the melody of this Prince song, and Norm said thus his day was made.

Truth be told, my galleries may include magenta, fuchsia, violet, pink, salmon, burgundy, maroon and the like, since I’m far from certain which shade purple actually is.

That’s why I’m offering several choices. Why check it online to make sure and take away all the fun? The eggplant is a safe bet, I think.

First, a gallery of everything that is not clothes.

Whereas the second gallery offers some evidence that I – and in one case amore and in one case Flavia – own a surprising amount of purplish clothing. Vaguely in order of the passing of time.

As for basketball, the nation is sad. Slovenia will fight for bronze tomorrow against Australia since it lost its semi-finals against France by one point after they fiercely blocked our potentially winning lay-up. At one point, France was ahead by 10 points but Slovenia fought back and they had to fight referees a bit too. They did their all and it was so near to enough that it hurts.

    1. Thank you, Bojana. I’m glad. I saw that you got the last gold of the Games, in water polo. 😀 Most excellent! And this against Greece and you’re right there. I picture you rooting for Serbs in a little bar surrounded by loud locals. 😉

      1. It was nth we expected. We cheered while the restaurant owner was pretty cool. Nb bothered, really.
A cool thing happened when we landed in Bg. We saw the golden boys taking pictures with the crowd. For real. They landed shortly before us, so we took some pics with them as well. It was a golden generation. They took everything there was to take on every single championship. A lot of them are retiring now. They will be missed.

    1. Oh Lynette, it wasn’t to be. 😦 We are still wondering about it all. Some say FIBA didn’t want small Slovenia in the finals. For sure it was painful to watch the last two games and saw the fire go out. 😦 Still, to be 4th in the Olympic Games is no small fry.

  1. Gawjuss shots! The SUNSETS AND THE CARS – ruddy marvellous! The photo at the beach is a stunning composition, it looks just like a painting. And you do not look 50 not by a long shot ( no pun intended) ❤

    1. Thank you, Sunra Nina! The photo of the sky with sea? It was taken from my roof. 🙂 I don’t look 50 because these photos are from previous years mostly. 😀 I’m only 50 in the last photo. But thanks. Looks are one thing, but sometimes I feel 84.

  2. 😄 I know how that feels some days. By the way do you reduce the image size of your shots before you post them? That would save you a lot of space. You probably do, I just thought I’d mention it (I can’t believe you’ve got through 4 blogs already!) You can do it with most photo-editing software.

    Enjoy Tuscany! 💕
