As I told Marsha, probably two thirds of all photos that I take contain some degree of public art. I find myself saving many for this challenge designed and run by Marsha and Cee who is the host today.
All today’s photos were taken in the last three weeks, now that I’m in my Slovenia of origin to be with my family and for the Olympic euphory that only a country of two million, hungry for recognition, can generate.
Ljubljana is its capital and this summer it’s emptier than usually. Most of these were taken in the centre on the day of my first vaccination.
There are two galleries today, architecture art in the first, and street art in the second.
Here is another, a mini street art gallery featuring Invader’s invasion of Ljubljana, the return of the Splash and a sad lion. You will need to click on a photo to open the gallery and see the captions. WordPress can’t do everything.

I think the “allone” stone is misspelled. It’s really the French “allons” meaning “let’s go.” 🙂
Great photos. 🙂

Thank you, Lynette. This is one way of reasoning… I believe it’s on purpose. These street artists are so precise.

Agreed – just me trying to put a comedic spin on it, but if you have to explain a joke, it’s not working … 😉

😀 I think you come across as a serious woman so I gave your idea a proper consideration. 😉

Thank you, Sofia. Only now with this challenge I notice how much I notice art of all sorts around me.

You’re always most welcome, Teresa. It’s a happening place, this year much less than normally though. Thank you so much!

Very good. Love the little Mickey Mouse one. Those guys holding up that building are really strong but their necks and shoulders must be aching like crazy!

Hahh, quite right, TAB. 🙂 Mickey is cute but “Death to all” is a terrible if truthful thing to say. Thanks for your visit and sticking around!

I so enjoy these rich colors and detailed art (the school!) that line your streets. I had to laugh at the bank support photo! Traveling with you around town is such fun. Love the commentary as well. 🙂

Thank you most kindly, Andrea. 🙂 I try to make these walks such as would really happen if we were to stroll together. I would point at these sights and tell exactly such things.

Yesss, scooj, good to hear. I should explore a little more before I leave. I need a bike. Ljubljana is a flat city.

Manja, you have outdone yourself with all your wonderful photographs of public art. I thought of Humpty Dumpty when I saw the egg, and realized that the fall might not have been the end of the line for him. I like the snazzy lines in the crosswalk. It’s funny what grabs you, isn’t it? I think the All One rock is just that – a plea for us all to be “all one,” rather than separate groups “all alone” that hate each other. Very thought-provoking post, Manja. Thanks for joining in. 🙂

Thank you, Marsha! 🙂 I’m glad you got something from this post. It can be funny what grabs you, yes, and I never fight this feeling. It’s always a reason. I love your interpretation of the Allone sign. This must be it. All well to you, you need it!
