I wish to celebrate my first fully vaccinated day with an Olympic boat poem and a photo from Lake Cerknica in Slovenia for Patrick’s Pic and a Word challenge.
Two boats from Slovenia in Tokyo piddle paddle piddle paddle one canoe wins one man is golden the trainer jumps in piddle paddle piddle paddle one kayak capsizes just before the finish line two girls get mouthfuls of water instead of the medal life is not just neither fair and yet the only thing you need is step into the right boat
In response to Patrick Jennings’ Pic and a Word Challenge #281: Paddle

Lol…I need to make some change. I’ve even changed the theme my blog used. Doing whatever I can within the four walls 🙂

I had a quick look and it’s looking good. One more week and I’ll be a regular visitor again back home.

Thank you! Going back tomorrow. I’ll need to fight the heat and traffic and road works. Wish me luck!

It was. 😦 Luckily no accident nor storms, but everything else. 40 degrees and a 10-hour drive. Horror.

Should that be ‘Punk is not dead’ maybe?

😀 Maybe. But I hope it was intentional as it is, since I got a chuckle out of it. I have just learned of an abandoned three-level garage full of art that I need to see urgently! It’s right here, in Ljubljana, where I am now. One more week to find it.

I hope you find the abandoned garage …

It was an interview with Martha Cooper in our paper that alerted me to it. She is 70 and a street art photographer. Heard of her? She was taken there. I guess I should just go and explore.

Actually no. I hadn’t heard of her before now but it seems I should have done as she she has been involved in graffiti since it started (in its modern format) back in the 80’s.

Thank you for this, I’ll watch it with much interest. I found the garage – actually an unrealised mall – and it’s huge. I didn’t find the way to move further down a level or two and I’m sure it’s there were the real jewels hide. On the ground floor I found a few good ones and some amusing ones, but all seem pretty old. All in all, a fun experience but I’d need more time (and an insider to take me around).

Sounds interesting but yes, you should have a guide for sure.

Thank you, Sunra Nina. I wish you a great boat selection. 🙂 I’m going back to Tuscany tomorrow. It should last most of the day, the drive back.

Oh that sounds lovely. I imagine there to be lots of rolling vineyards and quaint whitewashed houses. Hope you have a lovely time ❤️

Lots of rolling trucks and quaint mist-covered sky. 10 hours in 40 degrees. 😦 “But why??” came to mind often.

Peggy and I have been doing some paddling in our kayak. But we have never capsized it. 🙂 Great waterfall. Glad to hear that you are vaccinated! –Curt

Thank you, Curt. 🙂 Those two girls said they had never done it before the Olympic Games either. 😀 I suppose they needed the global audience. This waterfall can be much grander than in this photo. It was in the summer.

Laughing. They had more courage than I do.
Same is true around here. Oregon is full of waterfalls. Ask Crystal. They roar in the spring but can become quite skimpy by late summer, especially given the drought we have been experiencing. –Curt

Thank you, Bojana. Of course it’s not just choosing boats. It’s training as well. 🙂
