Here is a collection of unintentional blurs that I find too interesting to delete. Best to gather them together like this and pretend to be an artist.
But first, look what a wonderful video Sandy put together of the early years of her, Amanda and me. Find it in her today’s post. There will be others. Thank you most kindly, Sandy!
And now I could also lie and call these intentional but who am I kidding? Still, if art is something that you cannot repeat, this definitely is. I was inspired by Bushboy’s continuous output of this kind, such as the first and last photo in this post, and Snow Melts Somewhere who might succeed in getting me a museum placement for these. 😉
The blurs are of two kinds: moments when my point-and-shoot refused to auto focus… Hm. There is only this kind. What can I say. I live fast.
The waiting-room of my life to begin. Krkavče. That night shape-shifting was in process. Uncle is astonished. First amore… And then bestia as well. If I wanted to do this again, I’d have no idea how. This one is pretty ghostly. Bestia on the beach. His friend. She always barks at him but lovingly so. Protest poetry reading. Slovenia 2020. First the wife… …then the husband. My camera was protesting too. The same couple with my pack at a concert in Ljubljana last summer. That night was not going well for my camera. Ljubljana castle. Oh, I could pitch this for a museum! “A soft contrast between the warm light of Home and moonlit grey-scale night is executed to perfection.” Sold? Ha! How about this one? “Apocalyptic tones of Tuscany landscape in brown phase cut with the red razor.” I won’t make fun of this one because I love it. Title? “By-fly.” My favourite. Title pending. (Title: “Pending.” ?)
This day in my blogging history
I do a lot of bird photography and could create quite an album of blurs and near-misses. Nicely done !

I love love love this post. Some are astonishing, others I had a good laugh – especially at shape shifting and protest poetry reading couple. My favourite photo is the bus shelter.
Thanks for the shout out as well Manja 🙂 🙂

Thank you, Bushboy, I’m really happy to hear this. 🙂 The bus stop was the last addition. With it I felt it was complete and good to post.

Yeah, the titles and backstories seem to be what gets modern art in museums over here, so definitely ”Sold!” 😁

Thanks, SMSW. 🙂 I have often felt that so much of “art” is actually the power of presentation and persuasion. But some things just look good too.

“Pending” is also my favourite of the group, and I do love the wife in Protest Poetry. What a wonderful collection of blurs. I wouldn’t have guessed I would appreciate it so much. I like how you say if you wanted to do it again, you wouldn’t know how. ha!! Sometimes my camera work is the same.

Thank you, Crystal! I’m glad you say this. This “blurs” folder started to grow spontaneously but then I always thought about before deleting a photo – does it have any interest? So these were proclaimed save-worthy. And I’m glad I saved them.

I love the blurry shots, Manja, quite painterly. You definitely have an artist’s eye. You frame a shot effortlessly. And it’s a interesting idea too that one’s life can somewhat pass in a blur if you forget to cherish those worthwhile moments ☀️☀️

Mmmm, artist’s eye! Sounds most excellent, Sunra Nina, thank you so much!! I always felt lacking in art class since I can’t draw for the life of me. I suppose finding framed art around me is the easy way out. 😀

Those are cool blurs! It’s hard to do Intentional Camera Movement for me. I will spend so much time trying to do it and end up deleting all but one or two images. I know someone who can do it any time she wants and it comes out really cool every time!

Blurry faces are interesting – you catch something that a still images doesn’t.

I have never thought of it this way. Thank you, Emma. A little film forms this way, doesn’t it.

I make lots of unintentional blurs but, for some reason, I always delete them. I’m glad you didn’t. Some are quite funny.

Glad to hear you find some of them funny too, Bojana. For some reason they didn’t wish to be deleted.
