This is Italy for you: curves – from pasta too – and arches. I could easily use only photos from Niki’s Tarot Garden, but there is so much more.
Let’s begin there though: Il Giardino dei tarocchi, or the Tarot Garden, is a sculpture park in the south of Tuscany 15 minutes from me where Niki de Saint Phalle lived and created the world around her.
After I wrote above and uploaded the photos 5 hours ago, the internet connection died again. No fun this phone editing.
First six photos are from the Giardino, the rest as it says in the captions. Feel free to add curse words.
Four ladies squirting. Archy. Curvy. Justice is curvy too. And hollow. The Star. The Devil and mom. The archiest: The Colosseum. Porto Santo Stefano. Sis and friend on the first visit in 2013. Capalbio. Magliano in Toscana. The most recent arch: Celleno. Love this curvy watering hole in Villa Pamphili in Rome. Santa Fiora. Also there. With Crystal and Pedro on the top of Monte Amiata. Is this Lenny? In Padua. Torre Alfina. With Flavia in Farnese. Archy and curvy but dry: Villa Lante. Villa d’Este in Tivoli.

Thank you, Lois. I have posted photos of this fountain where you can see the ladies better, such as here: https://manjamaksimovic.wordpress.com/2016/03/14/sl-week-36-women-of-nikis-tarot-garden/

You captured them well, Manja. Some of the first ones reminded me of my trips to Burning Man. 🙂 –Curt

Thank you, Curt. My sister wished to go to Burning Man when she lived in Mendocino for a while but I don’t think she made it. These are great because they are here to stay and nobody gets burned. 🙂

Isn’t it, K? I was tempted to put only Niki’s curves in this post but then there were so many arches crying to be included. Thank you!

Stunning. Adored. And I saw your lady friend between that The Devil and Mom foto. Hehe.
But all of these are stunning curvy fotos … and then some more gems.
Thanks for sharing.

Ooh! I love the Star’s curves the best. I want her in my garden. It’s a fun surprise when your photos match my photos sometimes, like the Santa Fiora pics. And I am captivated by that handsome hunk in the arch at Amiata. So in MY photo of Lenny, I am a little backed up, and there is a photo of a woman, whom I don’t recognise. But when showing trip photos to Tara the other day, they didn’t recognize Lenny but said, “Oh! It’s Lady Gaga.” So, I’ll put money on it that you are right about the identity. I like your final water shot.

Ha! I didn’t recognise Lady Gaga either. Thank you, Crystal. I was thinking of Giardino dei tarocchi when you were here but it was not feasible, we had only two days. So you see, you need to return. 🙂

ADORE THE SCULPTURE GARDEN. Brassieres and undulations and all! ❤ Is that your mum standing in a very choice position? What a lovely way to frame a portrait!! 😀 Hahaha!! Gosh, photo opportunities everywhere though. It's always like that with Italy, it's lush with beauty. Great captures, Manja.
