Here is the second part of my last October as promised. Today’s photos are from two mega trips as a reminder that I must just go.
To think about it, October was the last month when we could have any amount of fun out of our municipality for more or less half a year! So it clearly deserves two posts for my Calendar 2020.
In the first twenty photos last week there were all other days, today just two: the last getaway with Flavia (until this June!) when we visited Farnese, a waterfall and a farm, and the Last Day I Saw Something New (TM) for half a year and it was the wonderful castle town Torre Alfina.
Like Flavia, I befriended a cat while waiting for her in Farnese, or at least tried to. One of the last cappuccinos for half a year. This bag is rather brilliant but sadly falling apart. The Farnese Cathedral ceiling. A passage opposite the Cathedral with Flavia. I miss her. She is in Iraq. Another Farnese passage. It seems like an entrance to another world. When I see a really splendid door, I wish to caress it. Photo: Flavia. The best knockers I have ever seen. When we walked to a waterfall, Flavia found a friend. Here it is. Cascate del Salabrone. The welcoming committee to a farm. The light was the best caressing kind. Such a happy crowd. And donkeys, horses, dogs… A wonderful visit. Trip no. 2. Only bestia and I this time. First it was Capodimonte on Lake Bolsena from afar. As I passed this house, a hawk or similar flew by, thought of landing but saw us and reconsidered. Sister said later: “Buy this house!” I saw this view while driving, stopped the car and returned by foot to the spot to take this photo. Torre Alfina and its castle. Laundry and all. My old age goal. Bestia is such a tourist. The best light when I was leaving. Goodbye, world, for half a year. Galleries for the next six months will be rather plainer.

Wonderful from start to finish. I do like that bag. (K)

Thank you, K. It was already second hand when sister gave it to me.

Beautiful photos. Yes, Flavia is in Basra, but good friends always reconnect. 🙂
