The friend who seven years ago sent me the Pippi book re-emerges from her dark woods of Canada, starts a creative challenge on Facebook and calls Verboten as the theme. Dog forbid I say no.
Verboten! To love more than. To love too early. To love still. Verboten!
–
To show nipples. To not show code. To wag tail. Verboten!

–
To play. To lay. To shit on the right. Verboten!

To be the wrong gender, wrong race, wrong species. Verb bot ten.

The opposite, the better word, right? Leave! Let! Allow! But also lasciate ogni speranza. Abandon all hope.

This day in my blogging history
2018: Two opposing galleries and one poem that ends thus:
.
So I suggest we stop calling it
the End Times
immediately
because even if it’s true
it’s not fair
to give away the ending. (Read it in full.)
It’s an interesting use of the challenge and I will admit I had to go look it up. 🙂

Thank you, Not Pam. Do you mean look up the word or the challenge on FB? 🙂 It could be both.

The word, I’m locked out of FB at the moment 😊

So much is these days, isn’t it? Your mother’s cousin’s art is wonderful. (K)

Thank you, K. I’m so glad you say so. I once tried to convince her that what she did was really good and my blog visitors agreed but she said that you all were just being kind. 😀

Most people do not go out of their way to compliment a piece of art out of mere kindness! I hope she keeps making art.

Great composition by your cousin…

Thank you, Equinoxio! If she only knew that you wouldn’t say it was good if it wasn’t. It’s mom’s cousin, by the way.

You are right. If I don’t like it, I just don’t say. So she would your “aunt” of sorts.

Thank you, I. J. Do you mean the “Who enters dies” door? It’s very near us. At first I though that it was a funny wall scribble but amore told me that it was a real warning.

That German word caught my attention right away. 🙂 If it’s off limits, I’m probably going there. Too many rules in the world.

Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a completely different subject but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Outstanding choice of colors!
