PPAC: Piran 7 – Art mix

When I was gathering photos for this series, I already knew which photo will be the last in the final post. I’ll let nature win the art contest.

But before the last one let’s have a look at all the little and big art pieces in Piran which are not murals, not church art, not Safet Zec’s amazing paintings, not writings on the wall, not the three statues, and not the lighthouse and the rocks, all of which I showed in my previous posts in this series (with the links added under the gallery).

This is the art that remains. All these photos were taken this summer. Clearly I have eyes for all sorts of art and do not hold back. Welcome to the final Piran art walk with me, amore and our visitors from Oregon. I feel so incredibly lucky that they were able to come over and visit us in Italy and that we could see a bit of Slovenia as well. See, 2021 was not all bad.

Whereas 2022 is for survivors. I say, bring it. Let’s do this.

  Yesterday I saw behind the edge.

  On this side just an illusion,
  on the other harsh reality.

  Over here a sunset,
  an illusion of peace,
  beauty,
  romance,
  over there death.

  .

  As if to say:
  See you on the flip side.
