A Slovenian in Italy for love. Blogger, photographer, translator and would-be writer who would be a writer if she wrote. Plus reluctant but emerging poet. Beware.

Thanks, Lynette, but I don’t think this is a cherry tree. At least no fruit emerges later… I thought cherry blossoms were pink. This might be an almond tree.
I am envious. Looking forward to blossoms when they arrive here. Until then, please enjoy yours extra for me. Thank you for the photos to tide me over.
This is Munich in April, if we’re lucky.

This year the blossoms are denser than previously. Or is it just that I’m so glad to see them. April coming up! Thanks, Bojana.

It’s so pretty! I can almost hear busy bees at work.

Thank you, Deborah. It was such a lovely day. And in one photo you can see four bees. The tree was abuzz!

And this will be Washington DC in March, with the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin. Thank you for sharing Italy’s early spring with us!

You’re most welcome, Carol Ann. I’m sure you will capture your cherry blossoms for us too.

It’s good this way, Jo. 🙂 Did you say that this year the blossoms were especially dense? I have this feeling too.

Quite a few of our cherry trees have white blooms or are a very pale pink. They are beautiful though, no matter what kind!

Oh, good to know! And I agree. Pretty in every case.

Great poem. Love that killer last stanza:
” we only have two shores:
the current
and the undercurrent.”
