Thursday Doors 31/3/22: Villa di Radi 1.

We have reached the third and last property that I visited on an open-door day last May. This time we go to Radi with a glimpse of Siena on the way and land in Villa di Radi with rich history. Here is the first part of its doors.

This is how I proceeded when I left the lovely garden number 2 at Castello Poggiarello. During the half an hour drive to Radi I just had to stop, even though I was running late. The landscape was brilliant, there was Siena in the distance… just what one expects from Tuscany.

When I parked in Radi, I caught up with the group, filled in a form with my details in case of a Covid-19 outbreak, and off we walked on the private road, first to a villa with the swimming pool, and then to the main building with the magnificent view, practically a castle.

This place has a rich history, as you can read here. It has already been known in the… wait for it… 10th century!! You can also get married there. Not much interested in either but you may be.

Yesterday was my 8th blogoversary, that’s why my blogging memories at the end are even more extensive than usually. Silent all those years, I clearly wanted to say and show everything at once.

And tomorrow… tomorrow is April 1st, time for the first poem of the poem-a-day month. Bear and bare with me.

On this day in 2014 – my second blogging day ever – I posted EIGHT TIMES! What was I thinking? The thing is that I first posted these and some other writings on another platform but soon realised that without likes or comments or other ways of connecting with my readers blogging would make little sense to me.
