For Alenka and all Taurus people

Since I am a Taurus myself, with my birthday coming up in two weeks, I seem to get along with others like me the most. Today celebrates my first internet friend who I have met in person, and not just once.

What are we like, if you didn’t know? Down to earth, outspoken, determined (some would say stubborn but they are wrong), and to add something not as positive… hm… strange, nothing comes to mind. 😀 Enjoying life is not a crime.

This post is for everybody born around now. Happy birthday, Alenka and all of us!

I never pay much attention to the horoscope, but some things cannot be denied: Bullocks rule! (Hmmmmm, should that be Mavericks? Both of which remind me that tonight I’ll wake up at 4 a.m. again to have some basketball fun and see what Luka and the Mavs can do to the Suns.)

Here are some glimpses from the past week. My camera decided to go all artistic suddenly. Probably I should change that aperture priority setting from the last time. 😀

And since this week’s Lens-Artists PC theme is The Rule of Thirds, I may as well link to it since at least two photos in this post partially apply, and I have done a detailed post with my thoughts on this rule fairly recently (well, three months ago) and shall not do another.

Alenka, you can find all previous happy birthday posts gathered in the blogging memories below. Now we need to make more of them.

    1. Oh Bojana, I think this is life. By moving away I lost touch with most of my previous friends. Or better, we just don’t communicate often but when we do it’s again the same as it was. Maybe Taurus people are good at that. 🙂 But yes, I’m so glad for you and all the bloggers. I’d be in trouble otherwise.

  1. Loved your artistic approach this week Manja – what glorious flowers and the colors jump off of the page. I’ve met a few fellow bloggers and it’s been terrific each time. Here’s to friendships no matter how we find them! And happy early birthday!!

  2. Birthdays are always worth celebrating. I had a Taurus boss who told me something in my horoscope was Taurus–rising? I don’t remember but she liked me more because of it. (K)

  3. I love your featured photo in particular – and yes, it obeys the rule of thirds! I remember your post on that topic, in response to my Friendly Friday challenge, very well 😆

  4. What a fun post, Manja. My younger one’s counting days too🙂…10 more days to go. And then I read your post and I thought, ‘This must be a Tauras thing’😃 and it doesn’t go away. Lol. With a Taurean daughter, I can say they are warm, caring, perfectionists and stubborn too. How wonderful you could meet your internet friend and continue to be connected. 🥂Here’s to good ‘net’ friends
Lovely picture of the flower in the field and lovely pic of you and your friend.

  5. Manja!!! Two of my good friends are Taurus and they are quite simply jolly good fun. Three including you! They always seem to know what the best wine is. And they know all about living a comfortable life. Apparently, most Taureans end up rather good singers too! So they say (astrologers). 🙂

    1. Hihhh!! Best wine and comfortable life… Sounds about right! 😀 Greetings to your friends and hugs to you, Sunra Nina. I love it that you say Three including you. My voice is not for singing, though, trust me on that one. I can only do passable Janis (because I make up for it with attitude. :D).

      1. Ha ha! I’m glad it pleases you as I do consider you a friend! I shall pester you until you consider me a friend too, ha ha! And now I need to hear you singing a Janis J song 😀 Even Janis only did a passable Janis! She was a soul screamer not really a singer, I suppose. I so love how she redefined singing 😉
