May 2021

The selection was not easy, but here are twenty photos from last May for my Calendar. Frankly, I could easily post nothing but twenty photos of poppies, twenty of other flowers, twenty of animals, or twenty from my two day trips.

Here is a bit of everything then. May is possibly the prettiest month around here, especially if it isn’t too hot and the quarantine ends just before your birthday. We went on a day trip with a nice lunch to celebrate it, and it was wet but I saw something new!

And on the night before we went to the theatre! And the weekend after I went on a three-garden open-door day tour. So much excitement all of a sudden!

But that was then and this is now. Tonight the Eurovision Song Contest starts with the first semi-final which includes Slovenia, and we will see if it really can’t make the top ten to qualify for Saturday’s finals as everybody says.

And then I’ll have a few hours of sleep before Luka and the Mavs are on at 4 am against the Suns, and we will see if the Mavs really can’t beat the Suns in their desert as less and less people say.

My tip: find your excitement where you can.

    1. Haha, thanks, Carol Ann. We parked and heard the noise and I laughed when I saw where it was coming from. 😀 It’s a little monastery and we’d never find it if I didn’t first spot it on google maps at home. One glance at its door and I knew I had to go there. 🙂

  1. Thank you for this photographic extravaganza, Manja 😀 I love your captions and how you illustrate how you’re feeling that way. The bird and the flowers. You’re such a poet. I love the organic images, the mushrooms, Bestia reflected in you, the snails on the bin. 🙂 You make me reach for my camera, always.
