Here are the last doors from Piran for this year as a goodbye, with some weather, music and Luka news.
Today I left the coast and after a two-hour drive in heavy downpour arrived in Ljubljana in the centre of Slovenia, where I get to hear Konstrakta live with her band in a couple of hours. She represented Serbia at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and came 5th. The first line of her song was: “What is the secret of Meghan Markle’s healthy hair?” Thanks for the perfect timing of this show. (ADD-IT: Oh dear, this came out wrong. I only meant the timing of me here.)
And thanks to Luka Dončić for the last two nights at Eurobasket. First he said Hi to Germany 36 times. As I write this, we are waiting for the final game in this first round, against France, to decide the first place in our group. Even if Slovenia loses, it is through to the next round. But seeing that France beat Slovenia in the Olympic semi-finals last year with that horrible last moment block, I’m looking forward to this game.
(Now it’s later. Guess what? Luka said Hi again, this time with 47 points, despite stitches on the top of his head at halftime due to a French elbow. The nation and the world are getting lost for words. I’m so glad that whenever you hear his name mentioned, and you are bound to, he will make you think of me. And then Slovenia beat the Ukraine at the Volleyball World Championship too to enter the final four.)
And finally doors and a big thank you to my parents for having me these three most excellent and highly enjoyable months. Heaven is a place, and welcome to it one more time. This was four days ago, the last photos that I took of Piran.
As for the most recent weather report: Today a proper tornado hit Civitavecchia, half way between Rome and our home in Tuscany…
To dinner with parents. I love this combo. Following the leader. Just a window. Small cars only. And a boat. I saw a sign. Another small car and a big door. Taming the beast. Friends. Not related.

Such a beautiful city. Heaven, indeed. And I love this: “I’m so glad that whenever you hear his name mentioned, and you are bound to, he will make you think of me.” You KNOW that’s true for me. Hugs and best wishes for your farewells, my friend.

This is a beautiful area. I love the doors, the shutters and the archways (which I know aren’t doors, but we pass through them). I like the double doors that are not equal widths. I always like those.
Are tornadoes common in that area?

I have enjoyed “our” stay with Mum and Dad. Seeing the doors and hearing of adventures especially your basketball love.
Safe travels and into the welcoming arms of amore Manja 🙂

A beautiful farewell in all ways. I’m glad Luka came through, and have a safe return. (K)

Lovely walk it seems on the stone pathway Manja. Just those new age scooters look out of place. Or may be it is the place out of place now/futuristically.

Lovely roads, great doors, and wonderful size-appropriate cars. Are they electric?

Bittersweet to have to say your goodbyes, but there will be another summer (even though the heat from this one continues), and I know you are missing Amore. And I know he’s wanting you home. I really love the two photos of the colourful doors and one with Branko and one with him and Meta. Love those two so much. ❤
