Here we go, back in time for one year again. This is the beginning of my seventh Calendar series.
It’s true that I don’t take as many photos as I used to, but finding twenty last January photos that I wish to gather in this post was not hard.
It starts with the first photo taken in 2022, on January the 1st. There was sun immediately. In comparison, this year I didn’t take any the whole first week.
Then there are some from immediate neighbourhood, such as our garden, some from my dog walks, and some from our one day trip to Rome.
I think I know why I keep doing this. On one hand, I wish to confirm to myself that most of the year indeed nothing happens, and on the other that the kind of nothing I have here is really good for the eyes. And for the tummy too.
The look to the left. January 1st, 12.45 pm. The first photo of the year. One week later fell something closest to snow of all last winter. The last piece of cake. My cakes are always chocolate heavy but this looks like overkill. This looks much more iffy than it tasted: red cabbage risotto. Yum! Memory of an exhibition in Lendava, Slovenia. Friedensreich Hundertwasser: “Irinaland over the Balkans”, 1969. I wasn’t even born yet. When a book came by mail, written by a friend. On a walk back from the shop. I have passed here often but was smitten by this view. Our pretty little church. The colour scheme. An abandoned train station. The view of Capalbio on the hill. Off we go to Rome down the Aurelia fast road. Monteverde reflected. Caressing light. The tree wished to add street art too. The view up in the apartment block of amore’s father. An offer of friendship. She was not convinced. Sadly, in the summer she went missing. Driving home into the sunset. Find your blobbing niche. I saw her right there a few days ago again. Dove upon dove. Not quite sure about this fisheye lens. It turns your camera into a voyeur.

Thank you for calling it our bestia, bushboy. It makes me smile every time. He doesn’t eat chocolate but he could tell this last piece was precious. 😀

I hope you have told him that chocolate is not a good food for dogs and found a doggie treat 🙂

Thank you, SMSW. I don’t remember which recipe I was using for the cake. For the risotto it was in Italian, amore found it online and did it for the first time. Thumbs up!

My fave is the abandoned train station. What a great composition.

Thank you, Crystal. That train station is at the end of the path by the tracks which I discovered not so long ago. It makes for a nice dog walk.
