Thursday Doors 3/8/23: Bracciano Castle 6

This is the end of the series and it finishes with a library and a cat. How fitting.

Hello, people, from Ljubljana, my city, which we reached today in humid heat with promises of the stormiest weekend of the year. And our card tournament is coming up. Oh well.

Yesterday Greece beat Slovenia in a friendly which I couldn’t watch anywhere. Good thing they lost, I almost got really upset. Now we finally secured the code which activates the only channel that broadcasts World Cup this year. For the rematch tomorrow and beyond.

And now back to our castle in question. I love it how the self tour is built, from bare stone to riches. I find it especially fitting that it ends in the library, since books are a special kind of rich. And as I was living, a cat said her silent goodbye.

  1. Forget the doors – those ceilings are incredible! Enjoy Ljubljana! I have just returned from your adopted country but nowhere near you or your heat. In fact, I was quite cool in the Dolomites, a refreshing change from Houston!

  2. Manja, I love these doors. The library doors are my favorites because I love making furniture and seeing well made furniture. I also love the photo looking down the curving staircase to those double doors. The cat, of course is a clear winner. Enjoy your visit.
