Thursday Doors 7/12/23: Rovinj 5

Here is the last regular door post of this year and the last from Rovinj in Croatia.

I know that last week I said there would be two more posts from here, but it’s the right time to conclude this series with Istrian doors as captured on August 1st.

But first sports.

Imagine having a first child, daughter Gabriela as written on your flashy shoes, putting on a headband that makes you look somewhere between White Men Can’t Jump and Boogie Nights, and then just torching the Utah Jazz with a huge grin until the end of time, saying “Everybody say it’s the headband, I say it’s me.” Headband daddy Luka has arrived. What a good time to be alive. I’ll leave this birth here for eternity. The Mavericks won by 50 points.

And now back to doors. This is how ends our visit of Rovinj. Next week an overview of this year’s doors will follow and then a little doorliday is in order for the holidays. Be happy.

  1. What a collection of beautiful doors, Manja. I love the hardware on the featured door at the top, and I love those fish in the fountain! I have to say, having a connection to Luca through you has made me a fan of the Mavericks. I would have thought that impossible, but I do find myself rooting for them now.
