A Slovenian in Italy for love. Blogger, photographer, translator and would-be writer who would be a writer if she wrote. Plus reluctant but emerging poet. Beware.

Thank you, Lois. What I like the most about it, other than that it’s straight, is that it’s mostly empty. I could stand in the middle of it and took photos in both directions.
Oh, where did you see Tivoli Park, Sunny? The 2016 post is from Tuscany. 🙂 But yes, it’s quite big, considering what a small capital city Ljubljana is. Small but very green!
I love the views of this hilly road – and I know how difficult it is to capture the incline, as well as the surroundings, so I am really so taken by your captures!
Thank you, Ju-Lyn. 🙂 I took this road by accident a long time ago but didn’t stop for a photo that time, merely remembered the nice view. Now I returned and wasn’t sorry. It’s not far from me at all.
Gahh!! Photo book cover alert. The one of the car driving into the perfect horizon. A lesson in symmetry and ambience. Should have been the cover of The Great Gatsby. Except with an older looking car.
Haha! 🙂 I have just realised that I must return later in the day for the golden hour. Imagine that! Great Gatsby would come begging! 😀 Thank you, Sunra Nina. Lovely energy you bring with you every time.
Aaaaah, thank you!! Like I said, I’m easily pleased! Might be good to bear it in mind though, every time they do a reprint of a book, it always has a new cover image!
Ohh, it depends on the month. It’s really nice and green now, for example, and most of the year. But from June until September it’s brown, burnt, dead looking.
I love those images of the Tuscan countryside!

Right, K… Italy has so many straight roads. Slovenia is too small for straight roads. Thank you!

The street views are wonderful! Oh, to drive on a road like that…!

Another post I missed from 2016. Never been to Tivoli Park in Ljubljana. It looks huge.

Ahh I see! Here is the entire post from Tivoli, if you haven’t clicked to see it. Ljubljana is lucky to have it in its middle.

I do that sometimes – when I run past an interesting place and didn’t stop the first time, and am so happy to go back to capture scene!

Thank you, Not Pam! This was just before 1 pm and the sun was in my face but I couldn’t choose… One day I’ll return for the sunset! 😮 Wow!

Lovely set of photos – I love leading lines shots, and I also love the Italian countryside, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed these!

Thank you, Sarah. I just realised that I must return before sunset with the golden light! It should be amazing! This was at 1 pm.

These roads remind me of the one that runs through Anghiari

See, scooj, Anghiari is on my list but I was never even close, nor in Arezzo. I just checked: 2h40 from me… One day.

This is so near me. I should go back there in different months and hours of the day and take more shots.

You see. There IS lots of green there as well, and you always say how much you miss it.

Sounds perfect to me. 🙂
But then, it’s beautiful in the countryside and the mountains. I absolutely hate it in the city.
