I like to relive the past like this, year after year, month by month, 20 photos at the time. Before the new year can start, I have to deal away with the previous. These were my twelve months of 2020.
At the time when people make calendars for 2022, I’m two years behind. What else is new? But this is my habit: each month I go through all the photos taken the same month one year ago, and at the end of the year pick one photo per month to represent it forever and ever.
And in fact, as many of you have realised looking into your inbox, I did make my Calendar 2022 this year with photos taken between 2016 and 2020. I sent it out by email to family, friends and you, my blogging buddies who I also count among my friends. I received many lovely responses and words of praise and I thank you all (including the woman who designed the Slovenian passport!).
In case you missed my email or the attachment was too large or I didn’t have the right address, I have decided to share it with everybody who is reading this right now. Here it is in pdf (8 MB) ready to be downloaded from my Drive and printed out. Enjoy!

And now, here is my Calendar 2020 with a photo per month, and on purpose I didn’t repeat any of the photos from the calendar I sent.
Next week we start with January 2021 and all the three times in the whole month that I even reached for the camera… Happy crossover!
January. Let’s let sleeping ducks float. Lake Burano. February. The last carefree month. Getaway with Flavia to Canale Monterano. March. The first poppy. It was good to see nature not care about the pandemic. April. My best tree friend. May. This is where all the flowers have gone. June. In Piran again and it never looked prettier. July. My uncle’s garden in Ljubljana. August. Back to Italy and Flavia. Sign of the times. September. Uncle came over and we had breakfast in Tarquinia. October. The greeting cat of Farnese, the last getaway for a long while. November. By the Orbetello lagoon. December. End of the year mood.
My Calendar 2020 by month:
This day in my blogging history
.
I park by the lagoon.
The sunset has just been.
I decide on clicking, in case
it amounts to something..
Just as I exit the car,
another stops next to mine.
I don’t look but can see the lights.
And hear the music. (Read on.)
I like May the most, the month of my birthday too.

Thank you, Sarah. 🙂 That cat was giving me the same look that I’ve been giving cats when I meet them. 😀 Not trusting them much.

Oh these are just too good. the ladybird and Flavia’s eye!!! What a capture. You have such an eye (no pun intended). And that April tree is such a proud optimist somehow. Nothing will fell me, it says. April, May and August are my favourite, though Bestia had to steal the show at the end, haha!
